What Is the role?
We are on the lookout for a skilled DevOps Engineer to expand our remote team. This role requires the candidate to be based in Canada and legally eligible to work within the country. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS, and have a strong background in software development and system administration.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS.
- Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS.
- Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform.
- Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
Requirements
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
- Proficient with git and git workflows.
- Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.
- Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or an equivalent.
- Solid experience with AWS and familiarity with other cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
